At Spirit of 76th Veterinary Clinic, we believe that preventive care is one of the most important aspects of veterinary care.

By taking steps to maintain your pet’s wellness, it is possible to keep many health problems at bay. In addition, bringing your companion in for routine care creates an opportunity for their veterinarian to detect – and begin treatment for – minor problems before they become serious. This generally results in a much better prognosis and is much less costly than trying to solve major problems.

Clearer Picture of your Pet’s Health

These panels give us a much clearer picture of your pet’s overall health than we can gain by simply conducting a physical exam. Many illnesses do not present with visible symptoms. Regular blood testing, however, allows us to monitor baseline values and detect any changes before they lead to serious health crises. Diabetes as well as thyroid, kidney, and adrenal disease can all be detected with regular bloodwork and are manageable when detected early.

Urinalysis allows us to identify things like urinary tract infections and high pH, which can lead to urinary stones, crystals, or diabetes. And with fecal testing, we can identify internal parasites that can be detrimental to your furry friend’s health.
